Composer, multimedia artist, performer and researcher, Antonio de Sousa Dias is currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and divides his work between creation, research and teaching. Graduated in Composition, he holds a Ph.D. in Aesthetics, Sciences and Technologies of the Arts - Music (Paris 8).

Along with musical works for several ensembles and exploring various genres (instrumental, electroacoustic and mixed), music for film, series, documentary, animation, new media, musical theatre and transmedia, his research in the area of music creation and virtual environments led him currently to the areas of multimedia, installation and visual creation.

With the french group Les Phonogénistes, developed the projects Vertiges de l’espace (2008-2010) and Vertiges de l’image (2009-2013), he is co-author of Natureza Morta | Stilleben from Susana de Sousa Dias (MNAC, Lisbon PT, 2010) and he is the author of works such as “...há dois ou...” (CAM/FCG, 1998), “Ce désert est faux” (CCB, Lisbon PT 2012), Monthey'04 (LIMSI, Orsay FR, 2008, Arc-et-Senan FR, 2012), the Tonnetz series (MNAC, Lisbon PT, 2011), A Dama e o Unicórnio (The Lady and the Unicorn, poem: Maria Teresa Horta, TMSL/ Temps d’Images/ Dom Quixote PT, 2013; Pagine d’Arte FR/CH, 2017), Mutabilis (TDI16, 2016; MV17, 2017).
